Amateur tournaments finalised for AON 6

AON have been on everybody’s lips with their £15,000 professional lightweight tournament set for May 3rd, with the likes of Andre Winner and Ali Maclean vying for the winnings.

Eight professional 155lbs fighters will be duking it out in the winner takes all tournament, but they won’t be the only ones looking to scoop a big prize on the night.

In true AON fashion, they’ll also be putting on some amateur tournaments featuring the region’s top talent—promising to give one welterweight and one middleweight £1,000 each.

The four man amateur tournaments will serve as exciting understudies to the main event, and there’s more preliminary bouts confirmed too.

AON 6 Amateur Middleweight Tournament

  • Andrew Reid (1-1)
  • Anthony Holmes (4-0)
  • Sam Sheridan (2-0)

With plenty of experience and great teams behind them, there should be some great battles on the night. The money will also serve as another motivating factor for these guys, with several on the cusp of professional débuts but postponing them for this opportunity.

The undercard will also have these feature bouts:

  • Mick Rodgerson (3-1) vs. Chau Allen (3-2)
  • Jack Nelmes (1-0) vs. Matty Hodgson (1-0)
  • Beau Gavin (3-0) vs. Andy Dent (2-1-2)
  • Callam Charlesworth (3-0) vs. Ant Buttle (4-1)
  • Saf Yousaf (2-0) vs. Aidan Todd (1-0)

All fighters will be eligible for Knockout and Sub of the Night bonuses of £250, and the Fight of the Night for £500. All undercard fights will have an attached win bonus too, giving these amateurs plenty to fight for.

It’s a huge step up for All or Nothing at the South Leeds Stadium, May 3rd. They’re pulling out all the stops to put on a big night of action.
